2. You don’t time your dinners.

When you eat too close to bedtime, you will certainly wake up with a bigger belly. Unless you sleep upright, you should avoid eating an hour or two before going to bed. When you lie down, you are actually hindering your body’s natural ability to digest food fast. To prevent this from happening, eat at least three hours before bedtime. Alternatively, you can just have a yogurt or a piece of fruit if there’s no choice but to sleep in an hour.

3. You love soda.

Soda is refreshing, but it is not helping you trim your waistline. Also, if you think that diet sodas are better, think again. They are actually worse because they have artificial sweeteners that the stomach cannot break down. Frequent consumption of sodas can lead to a fat belly that is usually difficult to get rid of. The good news is that you don’t have to completely eliminate soda from your life. Just reduce your intake and you can do your body some favors.

4. You eat pre-packaged foods.

Chips, cereals, salad dressings, and soups may be deemed healthy, but in truth they are not, thanks to their very high sodium content. Because they are packed and processed, there are a ton of preservatives to increase their shelf life. The best solution is to go natural. Eat more fruits and vegetables and you will surely have a flatter belly in no time.
