One of the easiest ways to improve and maintain your health is to drink water. Unfortunately, not everyone gets enough water because of other beverages, especially soda and coffee. This is one of the reasons why vitamin water products are popular. Although they are marketed as water, they are better-tasting with more vitamins and minerals, along with electrolytes and antioxidants.

However, these vitamin water products are said to be high in sugar that could go beyond the daily recommended intake. Instead of choosing these seemingly unhealthy products, you can make your own vitamin water at home.

Here are some recipes you can try:

1. Regular Vitamin Water

Choose your favorite fruits, such as strawberries, lemon, oranges, and raspberries. Cut them and place them into your juicer to get the enzymes from the fruits. Add drinking water to the juice and set aside. Tear some herbs, such as rosemary, basil leaves, or mint leaves, and then combine with the juice and water into mason jars. You can add a pinch of salt if you want. Close the lid and refrigerate for 12 hours or overnight. Drink the vitamin water you made within 48 hours.

2. Instant Vitamin Water

If you intend to drink vitamin water immediately, follow this recipe. Put frozen fruits in a big glass and fill up to a half. Add herbs, such as the ones above or use cilantro leaves or parsley. That’s it! Drink the cool vitamin water to get the vitamins and minerals you need.

3. Refreshing Vitamin Water

Cut a cucumber and lemon and add 10 cups of water into a pitcher. Add ¼ cup of basil leaf that you have previously cut into fine slices. Finally, add 1/3 of fresh mint leaves and place the drink to your refrigerator for one night.

4. Stomach-Friendly Vitamin Water

These just look delicious!

For this, you need one to three grams of fennel seeds. Crush them and let them sit in 150 mL boiling water for at least five minutes. Allow it to cool and then set aside a pitcher than has 10 cups of water. Add lemon juice, lemon, orange, and 12 mint leaves that you have chopped. Place them all in the infusion of seeds. Once again, refrigerate overnight before you drink.

If you cannot seem to encourage your family to stay hydrated, vitamin water is a great solution. Without the unnecessary sugars in commercial products, you can be sure that the vitamin water you make is from fresh and natural ingredients.
